Quantower on a prop-firm eval
Trading platform · reviewed 2026-07-15 · TradersGuild
Quantower is a multi-asset desktop trading platform with a free limited version and paid feature licenses, connecting to 80+ brokers and data feeds. At the futures prop firms below it typically rides the firm's Rithmic credentials; Topstep is the exception — there it connects through TopstepX credentials (and it's the one external front end Topstep's docs confirm). Advanced tools like DOM Surface and volume analysis are paid extensions on top of the free core.
Setting it up for an evaluation
- 1
Download Quantower from quantower.com — the free limited version runs without registration, and registering starts a 7-day full-featured trial.
- 2
Get the connection details from your firm: most firms below issue Rithmic credentials; Topstep connects with your TopstepX login instead (Trading Combine and Express Funded accounts only, per Topstep's docs).
- 3
Open Quantower's connection manager, select Rithmic (or the connection your firm names), and enter the credentials. Server selection matters — Quantower's docs cite "Rithmic Paper Chicago" for demo-type accounts and "Rithmic Aurora Chicago" for live.
- 4
Confirm the eval account and streaming data, then check whether the tools you actually use (DOM Surface, volume analysis, TPO) are in the free tier or need a license before the trial ends.
What it costs

The ALL-IN-ONE license is $70/month, with duration discounts (−10% for 3 months, −20% for 6, −30% for 12); individual paid extensions and bundles are sold separately. 10-day money-back guarantee on standard licenses; no refunds on lifetime; no auto-renewal.

Worth knowing before you connect
On the Topstep connection, Quantower's own connections page notes "some premium features unavailable".

A direct Rithmic login allows only one platform at a time — running Quantower alongside another Rithmic front end requires R|Trader Pro's Plugin Mode with the same credentials and server (Quantower's own Rithmic doc).
