Minimum trading days

Also searched: minimum trading days · min days · trading day requirement · qualifying days

The fewest distinct days you must trade before a phase can be passed or a payout taken. A day usually counts if you close at least one trade before the reset.

Definition

A minimum-trading-days rule stops you passing an evaluation (or withdrawing) too fast. You need a set number of distinct days with activity before the phase clears.

A day counts when you close at least one trade inside the firm's trading-day boundary. The days don't need to be consecutive, and there's usually no minimum profit per day — even a tiny trade logs the day.

The requirement can differ by stage: some firms want a minimum in the evaluation, others drop it there and instead require a number of qualifying days before a funded payout.

Why it fails evaluations

The usual mistake is hitting the profit target early, stopping, and only then discovering you're short on days — so you force junk sessions just to log them and give profit back into the drawdown line.

The opposite error is banking a payout a day too early. Know the count before you plan the pass, not after you've already hit the number.
