Apex Trader Funding Payout Rules, Explained
Rules verified 2026-07-15 · official source
Since the Apex 4.0 overhaul (March 2026), a payout on the funded (PA) account requires the 50% consistency rule — no single day more than 50% of your total profit — plus 5 qualifying trading days. Consistency applies at payout, not during the evaluation.
How Apex Trader Funding payouts work
Since the Apex 4.0 overhaul (March 2026), a payout on the funded (PA) account requires the 50% consistency rule — no single day more than 50% of your total profit — plus 5 qualifying trading days.
Consistency applies at PAYOUT, not during the evaluation: you can pass the eval on one big day, but you can't get paid on one until more days bring your best-day ratio under 50%.
The trailing threshold (intraday, locking at your starting balance + $100) remains the account's hard line throughout.
| Term | Detail |
|---|---|
| Payout consistency | No single day > 50% of total profit |
| Qualifying days | 5 qualifying trading days |

Payout evidence
Every figure above is drawn from Apex Trader Funding's own published payout terms (linked below, dated 2026-07-15). Where a dated third-party tracker or report touches Apex Trader Funding's payouts, it's listed alongside as evidence — labeled primary or secondary honestly.
TradersGuild reports what a firm publishes and what dated sources show — we don't audit payouts, hold your funds, or guarantee any trader's result. Confirm the current terms against the firm's own page before you rely on them; rules change, and this page updates when the registry does.
Recent Apex Trader Funding rule changes
2026-07-15 — Evaluation drawdown-lock corrected per Apex's own help center: the eval threshold's behavior is PLATFORM-SPLIT — on Tradovate it trails your Peak Balance indefinitely and never locks; on Rithmic/WealthCharts it trails until the account reaches start + target + trailing threshold (e.g. $55,000 on the 50K), then fixes at start + target ($53,000) and no longer trails. TradersGuild now encodes the conservative Tradovate (never-locks) branch so room is never overstated. The PA (funded) lock is unchanged and re-verified: real-time trail locking at start+$100 once the peak (realized or unrealized) reaches start + trailing threshold + $100.
2026-07-07 — Added the legacy 250K Evaluation ($15,000 goal, $6,500 trailing threshold, 27 contracts) — retired for new purchases in Apex 4.0, but live legacy accounts keep trading under the 4.0 payout policy.

FAQ
What are the Apex payout rules?
Since Apex 4.0 (March 2026), funded payouts require the 50% consistency rule (no day over 50% of total profit) plus 5 qualifying trading days. Consistency is a payout gate, not an evaluation rule.
Does Apex have a consistency rule at payout?
Yes — 50% since the 4.0 overhaul (raised from 30% on legacy accounts). Your best day can't exceed half your total profit when you request a payout.
Is TradersGuild affiliated with Apex Trader Funding?
No. TradersGuild is an independent rule tracker. These payout terms are quoted from Apex Trader Funding's own documentation and cited — we don't process or guarantee payouts.
